Americans For Safe Access Unveils 2020 Medical Cannabis Unity Conference Theme

Annual National Medical Cannabis Unity Conference, \ASA's 8th annual 2020 National Medical Cannabis Unity Conference is just a few months away! Americans For Safe Access hopes you will join them from March 25-28, 2020 in Washington, DC.  
Americans For Safe Access is excited to announce their 2020 conference theme, "Campaigning for Cannabis: Making Policies Work for Patients". With next year being an election year, it is more important than ever to focus on patient issues and to let Congressional members know that your vote for them depends on their stance on medical cannabis.

What to Expect at Our Conference

As with other prior conferences, you can expect the following during ASA's March 2020 conference:
Lobby Day --  ASA educates conference participants on how to advocate for legalizing medical cannabis at the federal level in Congress.  During Lobby Day ASA will bus all conference participants to Capitol Hill for meetings between Congressional members and their staff in the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.  Last year, ASA organized more than 150 meetings between conference participants and Congressional staff. 
Press Conference -- ASA will invite reporters and conference participants to our annual press conference in the U.S. House of Representatives to hear from patients and experts about new developments and important issues surrounding cannabis.
Panels -- ASA’s panels are comprised of experts in the fields of cannabis, policy, and science. The panels in March 2020 will focus on important issues surrounding ASA's theme. Last year’s awards included: Veteran Advocate of the Year, Patient Advocate of the Year, Researcher of the Year, Medical Professional of the Year, Journalist of the Year, ASA Chapter of the Year, Business Advocate of the Year, Elected Official of the Year, and the Courage Award.
